Referrals request letter

Getting affiliations or referrals can be as simply as asking people you know to give you more referrals. Sending out a referrals request letter to all of your co-workers, colleagues or existing clients is a great way to pick up new clients or find qualified individuals to assist you.

Steps

Starting to Write

1

Remind the customer about your service and something they might have found favorable about it.

2

Ask for the favor of requesting referrals.

3

Ask the recipient if they know of any individual or company who might benefit from your services that are being offered.

4

While this is usually done via letter, if it’s being sent via e-mail, then all you have to do is ask the person to hit reply. However, if it’s being done via letter, you need to include an envelope that’s pre-stamped and mailed to your address so they can return the envelope.

Dear John,

I’d like to thank you for purchasing the summer catalog and I’m really happy to hear that you like it. I was wondering if you could help me out with a relatively small favor to ask:

Would you mind writing down the names or contact information of a few people who might benefit from receiving my services. I’ll offer them a new customer discount of up to 50% since they’re being referred by you.

I’ve enclosed a letter for your convenience to mail me at (it’s already stamped). If it’s ok, and if you do happen to know anyone, would you mind if I mentioned your name while contacting them? Thank you again!

Sincerely,

Riddley
