Introduction letter to colleagues

When you step foot into an office setting and you don’t know a single person there, the best thing or course of action to do would be to introduce yourself in the form of a letter. An introduction letter to colleagues is a great way to start off on the right foot and to let everyone know that you can be approached and that you are a friendly person.

Steps

Starting to Write

1

Take the first opening sentence as an opportunity to introduce yourself and write something positive about working with the individual. If you know them personally, do it anyways.

2

Share your enthusiasm with the colleague and their work.

3

Invite the colleague to be able to contact you if they wish to.

4

End the note with something upbeat and positive.

Hello Mr. Richie,

Greetings, you may not know me yet but I am going to be the one in charge of publishing the book “Making It Matter” which is an inspiration to people everywhere who have read it thus far. I’ve called a publishing company ran by a friend of mine and spoke to a man named Roberts Walshton, and he said he can’t wait to review the book.

Also, if all goes well and he likes it, he plans on publishing news of the books launch in his official online paper that goes out to 10,000 people a month.

I’ve been looking forward to working with someone like you and I hope that we can build a lasting relationship together! Let me know if there’s anything you need or anything that I can do for you.

Sincerely,

Hal Emmerich
